Guam schools exempt from 180-day minimum

Effective upon enactment, the law exempts Guam's education department from providing 180 school days or equivalent instruction, including make-up hours. The exemption covers School Years 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2025-2026. It also removes the requirement to finish those school years within 30 days after their scheduled end. Typhoon Sinlaku prompted the 2025-2026 exemption; the law does not set how many school days students receive. By November 30, 2026, the department must report to Guam's Legislature on learning loss, interventions, and results for all 2025-2026 students.
