Gun buyers get required storage notices

Hawaii firearm retailers and retail transferors must give buyers a written copy of the state's secure-storage law. They must provide it at the time of sale or transfer. Breaking this notice rule counts as an unfair or deceptive act under state consumer protection law. The requirement took effect upon the law's approval.
