Starting July 1, 2025, the University of Hawaii receives $425,000 for fiscal year 2025–2026 and $150,000 for fiscal year 2026–2027. The university must use the money to develop plans for debris management and water quality in the Ala Wai watershed. The funds also support two graduate assistant positions, partial summer pay for faculty mentors, and other expenses. This law funds planning work, not direct household payments.
