Iowa lifetime fur license for disabled veterans

Beginning July 1, 2026, eligible Iowa veterans can get a lifetime fur harvester license. You must be an Iowa resident, served on federal active duty, and have a VA service-connected disability. You pay a one-time $5 fee plus any processing fee. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources provides an application form. The Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs helps verify your veteran and disability status.
