Town site claim laws repealed

Old timber and log scaling rules end

Beginning July 1, 2026, the state repeals several old laws on floating timber and log scaling. Timber operators and landowners are no longer bound by those sections. Some may see fewer compliance steps and costs. Others may lose protections or claims those sections once offered.
