Oral cancer drugs cost same as IV

The law takes effect July 1, 2026. For health plans issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2027, prescribed oral anticancer drugs that are FDA-approved must have the same copays, coinsurance, and deductible rules as injected or IV anticancer drugs. Your plan can still use a drug list, require prior authorization, or use other approval rules for any anticancer drug. This can lower your out-of-pocket costs for oral drugs, but approval steps may still affect timing.
