Same speed limits for heavy trucks

Beginning July 1, 2026, Idaho sets the same speed limits for heavy trucks as for other vehicles. This covers vehicles with five or more axles and a gross weight over 26,000 pounds. The law ends the old lower maximums for these trucks on Idaho roads, including interstates. This change can shorten trips and make rules easier to follow for drivers and trucking companies.
