Idaho changes how it sells surplus property

The law repeals the old section on selling or transferring state administrative facilities. When a state agency stops using a property or declares it no longer useful, it is surplus. Custody and title of surplus real estate move to the State Board of Land Commissioners for sale or other disposition. The State Board of Examiners must approve disposals of certain surplus real property and all surplus personal property under state law and its policies. Because the act is an emergency, these changes take effect on passage and approval.
