Beginning July 1, 2026, Idaho’s crime victims compensation program does not require proof of lawful presence. You can apply for and receive help even if you cannot show immigration papers. You must still meet the program’s other rules in Chapter 10, Title 72. This change does not alter payment amounts or other eligibility rules.
