Payment order for juvenile court cases

Beginning July 1, 2026, if a court orders you to pay in a Juvenile Corrections Act case, you must pay the court clerk where the judgment was entered. The clerk sends payments daily to the county auditor, who distributes them at least monthly. Satisfaction of the judgment is shown in the court’s electronic docket. Money is applied in a fixed order. Restitution to victims is first. Next are required fees and reimbursements such as training academy, drug or mental health court, pretrial and probation supervision, tests, community service, detention costs, support and treatment, public defender, toxicology, law-enforcement investigations, and psychosexual evaluations. Any other amounts come last. Each category must be paid in full before moving to the next. If several debts are in the same category, payments are split in proportion to the amounts ordered.
