Affidavit option when you lack voter ID

Beginning July 1, 2026, you can vote using an affidavit if you cannot show the required ID. The affidavit is on a state form. It must list your name and address, plus your date of birth or your Idaho driver’s license or ID card number. You must sign it. Election judges check the affidavit against voter registration before giving you a ballot. Anyone who knowingly gives false information on the affidavit commits a felony.
