The law moves $106.745 million into the State General Fund for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Money comes from these funds: Strategic Initiatives ($45 million), Permanent Building ($33.745 million), Water Pollution Control ($15 million), In‑Demand Careers ($10 million), and the Opportunity Scholarship account ($3 million). The State Controller makes the transfers as soon as practicable in that period. This boosts the General Fund but leaves less money for those funds’ usual projects and scholarships.
Beginning on or after July 1, 2026, $10 million moves from the In‑Demand Careers Fund to the General Fund. The State Controller transfers the money after awards are obligated and reconciled on December 31, 2026, or soon after. This adds to the General Fund but reduces money left for those awards.
