Monthly online reports on state investments

Each State agency must post investment details online by the 15th of each month. They must show the month-end balance or average daily balance, total monthly investment income and yield, and asset allocation. They must also list all approved banks, commercial paper issuers, and broker-dealers. This makes how public money is invested easier to see.

Faster pension and public aid payments

The Comptroller can pay some groups without a separate warrant. This covers community-based mental health providers, State pension beneficiaries, people getting aid under Article III of the Illinois Public Aid Code, public agencies, and any payee using direct deposit or electronic transfer. The Treasurer must approve these payments and set the method by rule. This changes how payments are made, not how much you get.
