School districts must train all substitute personnel on evacuation and law enforcement lockdown drills. Training is in person when available. If you hold a Short-Term Substitute Teaching License, this can be part of the training required under the School Code. Districts must also post exit maps in every classroom and include district-approved evacuation and lockdown procedures in the employee information packet.
