Old deed limits removed on one parcel

The law clears old deed limits on a single Bethalto parcel. On April 24, 2025, the school district released all restrictions not required by Public Act 90-71, including reversion on abandonment and tax‑exempt use rules. The board secretary must file a quitclaim deed that gives up the district’s interests and record it in Madison County. The act lists the legal description and Parcel ID 19-1-08-02-00-000-003. The district may still require written approval for later sales as set in the April 24, 2025 resolution.

Rent and sale proceeds to school district

If Community Hope Center leases, sells, or transfers any part of the parcel, it must pay all rent and net sale proceeds to Bethalto School District 8. This covenant is written into the deed and binds future owners. The law does not set dollar amounts or formulas.
