Implicit bias training for health workers

The law requires licensed health care professionals with continuing education to complete at least one hour of implicit bias training each renewal, starting January 1, 2023. You may count this hour toward your continuing education, and training done for other state, accreditation, certification, or hospital rules can also satisfy this hour. Starting July 1, 2026, if you report to the Department that you provide maternal health care, your hour must include training on maternal health risk factors for marginalized racial or ethnic groups.
