The State Board of Education must publish details for every state testing contract. By July 1, 2025, and each fiscal year after, the Board reports the contract start and end dates, any renewal options with their length and number, and total yearly costs. The report also includes any notices sent to the vendor about using a renewal option. The Board must post this information on its public website so families and the public can see it.
The Board must engage with assessment stakeholder groups to improve transparency. These include existing advisory bodies like the Balanced Accountability Measure Committee and the Technical Advisory Committee, and any new relevant groups formed later. The Board may set rules needed to run these reporting and engagement duties.
