Crisis help on student and staff IDs

Beginning July 1, 2023, any district that serves grades 6–12 and issues ID cards must put crisis contacts on them. Student and staff IDs must list the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988), the Crisis Text Line, and Safe2Help Illinois. The card must show which services accept texts. Schools must also print the same contacts in the student handbook. If the school gives a custom-printed planner to grades 6–12, it must include the contacts too.
