Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 1 mixed.

State land swap with Heinz family

The law lets the Director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources swap land with Thomas E. Heinz and Andrea L. Heinz in Peoria County. The State gives Parcel 1 (0.105 acres) and gets Parcel 2 (0.098 acres). This swap only applies to the two parcels named in the law.

Private parcel keeps existing easements

The parcel the private party gets stays subject to public roads and utilities. It also stays subject to any recorded easements, covenants, and restrictions. These limits remain after the swap.

Closing costs and recording steps

Each party who receives a parcel pays the title costs for that parcel. Each party must sign and deliver a quitclaim deed as part of the exchange. Within 60 days after this law takes effect, the Director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources records key parts of the Act in the county Recorder's Office.
