A “lifetime” gym membership must last for your life unless you cancel. Gyms cannot offer or advertise lifetime memberships that break the law’s rules. If your contract will renew automatically with higher total payments or fewer benefits, the gym must tell you clearly at least 60 days before it renews. If you ask, the gym must give you a copy of your contract.
