The Department of Central Management Services (CMS) can count your relevant work experience like a college degree for hiring. This applies to State jobs under CMS. It does not apply to jobs that require a license, certificate, or registration under State or federal law or rules. You still must meet any other posted requirements.
CMS must post State job application, testing, and hiring steps online. All Jurisdiction B vacancies are posted online and show the county. Postings are updated at least once a week. If a position’s vacancy rate is 10% or higher, it stays posted until it falls below 10%. This does not cover jobs exempt under Section 4c.
