The law removes four exceptions to Kansas open-records rules (K.S.A. 65-7616, 45-229, 45-229d, and 48-962). Some records that were confidential under those sections are now open to the public, unless another exemption applies. People and news outlets can request these records, and agencies must treat them as public. This change takes effect upon publication in the statute book.
