Osawatomie gets state land with conditions

The law gives specific state land in Miami County to the City of Osawatomie at no cost to support economic growth. The Attorney General must approve the deed, and the secretary for aging and disability services signs it. This transfer does not have to follow K.S.A. 75-3043a, 75-6609, or 75-6610. By July 1, 2026, the state and city must record a deed change. On July 1, 2046, any part not used for economic development reverts to the state. If the legal description is wrong, the secretary can correct it with Attorney General approval. The act repeals K.S.A. 75-3369a.
