Calcasieu homeowners face stricter tax appeal filing

Calcasieu Parish's board of review limits filing methods for complaints challenging real property tax assessments. For complaints filed on or after July 1, 2025, it accepts only timely filings made in person at its office or by certified mail. It does not consider faxed complaints. The law itself does not change assessment values or tax amounts.
