Five new alcohol licenses for Milton restaurants

The law lets Milton issue five extra all‑alcohol, on‑premise licenses. Only businesses inside one of five zones can get them: East Milton; Central/Milton Village; Curry College/Fuller Village; Mattapan Station Area; or Route 28 Area, as shown on the town map dated September 26, 2025. The town must issue all five within three years after the law takes effect. Alcohol service is limited to the dining room of a common victualler and any other public areas the licensing authority approves in writing. Licenses cannot move outside their original zone; transfers within the same zone need letters from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance showing good standing and that all taxes, fees, and contributions are paid. If a license ends or is not renewed, it must be returned, and the town may reissue it under the same rules.
