Extra funding for state worker health insurance
The state provides $300 million to the Group Insurance Commission for fiscal year 2026. This money helps pay health plan premiums and other plan costs for state employees, retirees, and other people in GIC plans. The funds are available through June 30, 2026. Money comes from the General Fund or the Transitional Escrow Fund.
