The law lets the Weston Select Board take control of three town parcels to site water tanks. The parcels are: Paines Hill Parcel A (55,235 sq ft), Cat Rock Parcel A (74,841 sq ft), and Doublet Hill Parcel A (65,999 sq ft). These transfers apply even if other laws would block them. As mitigation, the Select Board must give Parcel B (217,804 sq ft, map 32-23-20) to the Conservation Commission. Parcel B is permanently held for passive recreation, open space, and conservation under G.L. c.40, §8C and Article 97.
