Billerica land transfer for bike path

The law lets Billerica’s conservation commission transfer three town parcels to the select board for recreation. This clears the way to build the Yankee Doodle Bike Path. The parcels are shown as E-23, FP-9, and PUE-5 on the MassDOT bike path plan (assessor IDs 78-282-1-1, 87-258-1, and 87-249-2). The transfer remains subject to Article 97 of the Massachusetts Constitution. The law takes effect upon passage.
