Boylston can contract police lieutenant

Boylston’s Select Board can appoint a police lieutenant for up to three years and make an employment contract. The contract follows the terms and limits used for certain other municipal employees. This law overrides the usual police appointment rules for this contract. The town does not have to make an appointment, and the law does not set pay. It took effect upon passage.
