Higher camera fines for Route 210 drivers

Beginning October 1, 2025, higher camera-speeding fines apply on Maryland Route 210 (Piscataway Highway) in Prince George’s County. Fines are $50 for 12–15 mph over the limit, $70 for 16–19 mph, and $120 for 20–29 mph. They are $230 for 30–39 mph over and $425 for 40 mph or more over. The vehicle owner, or the driver as provided by law, owes the fine. This penalty does not apply when an officer issued a citation at the time of the violation. Citations must show the amount and allow payment without appearing in District Court. The general $40 cap remains unchanged outside this Route 210 exception.
