Somerset County shops get liquor tasting licenses

Beginning July 1, 2025, Somerset County’s Board of License Commissioners can issue liquor tasting licenses to eligible businesses. Businesses must hold a Class A beer, wine, and liquor license. Tastings must be free, take place on the licensed premises, and use liquor the business is authorized to sell. Each consumer may have up to one-half ounce per offering and up to five offerings per day. Added fees are $20 for one day, $200 for any 26 days, $300 for any 52 days, or $400 for any 104 days in a licensing period. These fees are separate from the Class A license cost.
