New dairy farms gain access to aid

The law expands Minnesota’s Dairy Assistance, Investment, Relief Initiative (DAIRI) aid to more new dairy farms. New farms qualify with no milk sales in 2022 or sales during only part of that year. They must have coverage under a federal dairy risk protection program. Payments use the farm’s production history established when enrolling in that program.
