Easier disability parking approvals and fewer renewals

Missouri-licensed occupational therapists can now sign the disability statement required for disabled license plates or parking placards. They can certify only physical conditions they are legally allowed to diagnose and treat. The Department of Revenue verifies their statements with the State Board of Occupational Therapy. Removable disabled windshield placards now renew every eight years instead of four. During the transition, the department may automatically renew valid placards for eight years or until the current medical statement expires.
