State Guard gets $2.19M for loan repayment

The law gives the Adjutant General about $2.19 million from the general fund. The money repays loans taken to cover disaster-response costs. As an emergency measure, it takes effect right away and runs through June 30, 2025. The Attorney General must seek federal reimbursement for costs from unlawful activity tied to Dakota Access Pipeline construction. Any money received must repay Bank of North Dakota loans. Usual state loan rules apply, but Emergency Commission approval is not required.
