Higher loan limit for North Dakota veterans

The law raises the total you can borrow from the Veterans' Aid Fund from $5,000 to $8,000. You can receive more than one loan, but your total cannot be over $8,000. If you get more than one loan, the amounts are combined into one payment. You must be a veteran or an unremarried surviving spouse, a citizen, and a North Dakota resident. You also must meet the Department of Veterans' Affairs loan qualification rules, and the department must confirm your eligibility.
