Amateur radio operators get special plates

You can get a special plate if your vehicle must be registered under NDCC 39-04-19(2)(a) or (b) and you hold a current, unrevoked FCC amateur radio station license. Apply with proof of your FCC license, follow North Dakota registration rules, and pay the regular license fee. The plate replaces your normal plate and shows your FCC call letters and the words "AMATEUR RADIO." You can request up to five plates with the same call letters; extra plates are marked with numbers 2 through 5.
