Ethics rules for counselors

The Board sets a code of ethics for counseling. Licensed counselors must follow these standards. This protects clients and supports quality care.

Public list of licensed counselors

The Board publishes each year the names and addresses of all licensed counselors. Your license information is public.

New counselor licensing exams, fees, and rules

The Board now runs a counselor licensing exam. It sets and collects fees for applications, renewals, duplicate licenses, and technology services. It sets continuing education you must complete to renew. It can issue provisional or probationary licenses with conditions. The Board adopts rules to carry out these requirements.
