Missed renewal payment ends life settlement license

If you do not pay the renewal fee by April 30, your license ends automatically. It may be revoked or expire, and you cannot legally do life settlement business.

Renewal dates and fee cap for life settlement licenses

Life settlement providers and brokers must renew each year by April 30 and pay the renewal fee. The provider renewal fee is capped at a reasonable amount set in law. Licenses issued after January 1 first renew on April 30 of the next year. Licenses issued between May 1 and July 31 of 2023 or 2024 first renew on April 30, 2025 or 2026. Provider license terms match domestic stock life insurers; broker terms match insurance producer licenses.
