Landowners get triple damages for timber harm

You can get triple your measured loss if someone willfully and wantonly harms or removes timber on your land. Triple damages do not apply if the trespass was casual or involuntary, if the person honestly thought the land was theirs, or if highway officers took wood for highway work. For negligent harm or removal, you can recover the actual loss.
