New farm management help for farmers

The Department of Agriculture now runs a Farm Management Program. The agriculture commissioner coordinates farm management programs across state agencies and helps create or grow marketing clubs. The state provides $1.9 million for services from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. The law does not set per-farmer payments.

Career board to coordinate farm programs

The State Board of Career and Technical Education can now coordinate farm management programs across state agencies. The board can also create and expand marketing clubs tied to those programs. This is an administrative change and does not add funding or new fees.
