Veterans donation funds stay available

Beginning July 1, 2026, donations and bequests to the state veterans department do not lapse. The department can keep and spend this money across years. It supports the welfare of service members, veterans, and their families. These gifts are received on behalf of the state and stay continually appropriated to the department.
