Late toll refunds allowed with fees
Starting 30 days after passage, New Hampshire’s commissioner can waive road toll refund filing deadlines for just cause. Individuals and other entities—not just local government agencies—can seek a waiver. Each requester can receive only one waiver every three years. A granted waiver carries a fee of 5% of the refund or $50, whichever is greater. New Hampshire local government agencies pay no fee. The law does not change the underlying rules for qualifying for a refund.
