Animal cruelty investigators in every county
Beginning 60 days after the law’s passage, every county must have trained officers for animal cruelty cases. The Department of Safety must ensure at least one state trooper per county is trained at the New Hampshire police training facility. Each county sheriff must also ensure at least one deputy is trained there. These officers respond to and assist local police with animal cruelty investigations in their county.
