Clear rules for occasional food businesses
The law defines an "occasional" food service as serving the public no more than 4 days in any 28‑day period. Any part of a day counts as a full day. It applies whether food is eaten on site or taken away, and whether you charge or not. Meeting this rule lets small operators use the simpler "occasional" regulatory status. The change takes effect 60 days after passage.
