Antique status for retired fire trucks
Retired fire trucks 20 years or older now count as antique vehicles. Other vehicles must be 25 years or older. To qualify, the vehicle must be original or restored and not for daily or business use. Tail lamps are OK if a red light is visible from 100 feet. Lamps higher than 72 inches are allowed only if that was the original factory height. These changes take effect 60 days after passage.
