Fines for dumping yard waste in water
Beginning January 1, 2026, you may not intentionally dump yard waste into streams, rivers, lakes, or ponds in New Hampshire. Peace officers enforce this rule. The fine is $150 for a first offense, $300 for a second, and $750 for any later offense.
