Lower commission fees on NH voice services
Beginning July 1, 2025, providers of qualifying VoIP and IP-enabled voice services pay a 10% assessment on gross New Hampshire retail revenue. Excepted local exchange carriers pay 10% of their gross utility revenue, and their affiliates pay 10% on qualifying VoIP or IP-enabled voice revenue. Cellular mobile service providers are excluded from this rate. The law replaces a 33% rate with a 10% rate for these assessments. This lowers providers’ costs; any effect on customer bills is indirect.
