Public can report election security flaws
The law requires the New Hampshire Secretary of State to set up a public security reporting program within 180 days of passage. It must meet or exceed the federal cybersecurity agency’s guide for election administrators. The program covers all state election and voter registration IT run by the Secretary. That includes the central voter registration database and the user screens used by voters, town clerks, ballot clerks, and supervisors of the checklist. The cybersecurity advisory committee oversees the program and works with the Secretary. The law takes effect upon passage, so the 180-day clock starts then.
