New age-based lifetime hunting and fishing fees
Beginning July 1, 2025, lifetime hunting and freshwater fishing license fees follow an age-based schedule. Each year on July 15, the executive director sets fees for the next year using an actuarial table from the insurance commissioner. Applicants under 16 pay the same fee as a 16-year-old. Newborn residents (under age 1) get a discounted lifetime license, with the price set by the executive director, replacing the old $300 fixed fee. Applicants also pay the agent’s fee under RSA 214-A:4.
