Broader telehealth study with reports due

The law expands the state commission that studies telehealth. The commission can get information from any person or group, including an independent research contractor. It may study payment parity across commercial insurers; New Hampshire Medicaid fee‑for‑service and managed care; patient and provider access and use, including chronic disease prevention and chronic care; telehealth care quality; alignment with federal policy; recommended legislation; and how telehealth affects health care costs. An interim report is due by December 1, 2022. A final report with any proposed bills is due by December 1, 2024. A supplemental report is due by June 30, 2026. Reports go to the Senate President, House Speaker, both clerks, the Governor, and the State Library. These changes take effect upon passage.

Telehealth study commission ends in 2026

The law repeals RSA 329:1‑f on June 30, 2026. On that date, the Commission to Study Telehealth Services ends and stops its work. State agencies and contractors that supported the commission no longer have that role. Households do not see an immediate money change, but future policy may have less in‑state research behind it.
